This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the Pickseat platform, including our mobile application, website, and related services. This policy applies to all users, including passengers, drivers, vehicle operators, advertisers, and any other parties interacting with Pickseat.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Pickseat remains a safe, reliable, and respectful platform for all users. By using Pickseat, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, and in some cases, legal action.
2. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users and covers:
- Passengers using Pickseat to book transportation
- Drivers and transport operators providing services
- Vehicle operators and fleet managers
- Advertisers and promotional partners
- Website and application visitors
- All interactions through the Platform
This policy is in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other policies that may apply to specific user roles.
3. General Conduct
All users must:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Respect the rights and privacy of other users
- Use the Platform for its intended purposes only
- Maintain the security of your account and credentials
- Report any violations of this policy to Pickseat
- Cooperate with any investigations conducted by Pickseat
Users must not engage in any activity that could harm the reputation, integrity, or security of the Pickseat platform.
4. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Pickseat platform:
4.1 Illegal Activities
- Engaging in any illegal or criminal activity
- Facilitating human trafficking or exploitation
- Transporting illegal goods or substances
- Fraud, identity theft, or impersonation
- Money laundering or financial crimes
- Violating any transport or safety regulations
4.2 Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Providing false or misleading information
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
- Manipulating booking or rating systems
- Using stolen or unauthorized payment methods
- Falsifying trip details or locations
- Exploiting system vulnerabilities
4.3 Harassment and Abuse
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
- Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any protected characteristic
- Using offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language
- Stalking or unwanted contact
- Sharing personal information without consent
- Bullying or intimidation of any kind
4.4 Unsafe Activities
- Operating a vehicle while under the influence
- Reckless or dangerous driving
- Overloading vehicles beyond capacity
- Transporting hazardous materials without authorization
- Ignoring safety protocols or regulations
- Driving without valid licenses or documentation
5. Passenger-Specific Rules
Passengers using Pickseat must:
- Provide accurate pick-up and drop-off locations
- Be ready for pick-up at the scheduled time
- Wear seatbelts and follow safety instructions
- Treat drivers and other passengers with respect
- Pay the correct fare as displayed on the Platform
- Not interfere with the driver's operation of the vehicle
- Not consume alcohol or drugs during the trip
- Not damage the vehicle or its contents
- Not bring prohibited items into the vehicle
- Provide accurate contact information for booking
Passengers must not:
- Book trips without intending to use them
- Cancel trips excessively or without valid reason
- Use the Platform to solicit drivers for private arrangements
- Request drivers to violate traffic laws or regulations
- Provide false feedback or ratings
Mobile Money Payments: Passengers may only use mobile money contacts that have been properly registered and verified on the Platform. Each user can register a maximum of 3 contacts, and each contact can be used by a maximum of 3 users.
6. Driver-Specific Rules
Drivers using Pickseat must:
- Maintain valid and current licenses and documentation
- Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and properly maintained
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Clock in and out at designated stops accurately
- Accept bookings in a timely and professional manner
- Update trip status and location as required
- Treat passengers with courtesy and respect
- Provide a clean and comfortable vehicle
- Maintain required insurance coverage
- Report accidents or incidents immediately
Drivers must not:
- Accept bookings they cannot fulfill
- Cancel bookings without valid reason
- Solicit passengers for private trips
- Accept cash payments unless authorized
- Discriminate against passengers
- Share passenger information without consent
- Operate the vehicle while distracted or impaired
- Make unauthorized stops or deviate from routes
Drivers found violating these rules may have their account suspended or permanently terminated.
7. Content and Communication
7.1 User Content
Users may submit content including:
- Profile information and photographs
- Feedback and reviews
- Comments and messages
- Support requests and inquiries
All user content must:
- Be accurate and truthful
- Not contain offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
- Not infringe on intellectual property rights
- Not contain spam or promotional content without authorization
- Not contain malware or harmful code
- Not violate anyone's privacy rights
7.2 Communication
Users must communicate:
- Professionally and respectfully
- Through the Platform's messaging system where possible
- Without using offensive or inappropriate language
- Without harassing or threatening others
- Without soliciting or spamming
8. Security and System Integrity
Users must not:
- Attempt to access unauthorized areas of the Platform
- Attempt to breach or bypass security measures
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Overload or disrupt Platform operations
- Use automated systems to interact with the Platform
- Attempt to reverse engineer the Platform
- Share account credentials with others
- Use the Platform for any unauthorized purpose
Any security violations will be immediately investigated and may be reported to relevant authorities.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Users must:
- Respect the privacy of other users
- Not share personal information without consent
- Comply with all applicable privacy laws
- Protect their own account credentials
- Report any data breaches or privacy concerns
Users must not:
- Collect or harvest user data without authorization
- Share sensitive information without proper security
- Use data for purposes other than intended
- Violate our Privacy Policy or applicable laws
10. Payments and Transactions
Users must:
- Pay the correct fare as displayed on the Platform
- Use only authorized payment methods
- Ensure sufficient funds before booking
- Report any payment issues immediately
Users must not:
- Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods
- Attempt to avoid payment
- Request refunds fraudulently
- Manipulate payment systems
- Share payment details with unauthorized parties
Payment Security: All payment transactions are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Pickseat does not store full payment card details.
11. Mobile Money Contact Registration
When using Mobile Money for payment, users must follow these specific rules:
11.1 Registration Requirements
- Only registered contacts can be used for Mobile Money payments
- To register a new contact, users must complete the verification process
- Verification is done through a code sent to the mobile number
- The contact must be verified before it can be used for any transaction
11.2 Contact Limits
- Per User Limit: Each user can register a maximum of 3 mobile money contacts
- Per Contact Limit: A single mobile money contact can be used by a maximum of 3 different users
- These limits are enforced to prevent fraud and ensure security
11.3 Contact Management
- Users can view their registered contacts in their profile
- Users can remove registered contacts
- Changes to contacts may require re-verification
- Pickseat reserves the right to limit or remove contacts for security reasons
Only verified contacts can be used for Mobile Money transactions. Unverified contacts cannot be used for any payment.
12. Enforcement
Pickseat takes violations of this Acceptable Use Policy seriously and may take the following actions:
12.1 Violation Response
- Warning - For minor or first-time violations
- Temporary Suspension - For moderate violations
- Permanent Termination - For serious or repeated violations
- Legal Action - For violations involving illegal activity
12.2 Factors Considered
When determining the appropriate response, we consider:
- Severity of the violation
- User's history and previous violations
- Intent and whether the violation was deliberate
- Impact on other users and the Platform
- Any legal requirements or obligations
12.3 Reporting Violations
Users can report violations by:
- Using the in-app reporting feature

All reports will be investigated promptly and confidentially.
13. Monitoring and Review
Pickseat may monitor and review user activities on the Platform to ensure compliance with this policy. This may include:

- Auditing transactions and bookings
- Verifying user information and documentation
Monitoring activities are conducted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
14. Appeals Process
Users who believe their account was suspended or terminated in error may appeal the decision by:

Continued use of Pickseat after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Acceptable Use Policy.
